Our organisation was set up four years ago by two local therapists, in response to local community research that demonstrated  a  demand for complementary therapy

Life-Force is an organisation that is run by a team of dedicated therapists and activists who live and work in Salford.

Our aims are:

to deliver, pass on skills and raise awareness of complementary therapies in Salford,
to promote the health and well-being of people who live in the area regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, gender or belief,
to provide clinical experience, training opportunities and opportunity for continuing professional development for therapists,
to provide volunteer and employment opportunities for local people.

We began to deliver low-cost treatments, on a voluntary basis at the Cornerstone for people who lived and worked in the local area. Over the years the team has grown as our philosophy and way of working, has attracted many new complementary and alternative therapists from around Salford. We have achieved funding to offer free treatments to some, and have provided vouchers for organisations who wish to subsidise treatments for their staff or individuals who wish to buy them as gifts for friends and family. We can deliver

Treatment Sessions at a variety of venues (libraries, parent & toddler groups, offices etc.) and we offer Introductory Workshops and Reiki Attunements (please phone for prices).

We encourage newly qualified therapists to become part of Life-Force so that   they can continue to develop professionally and personally in a supportive and    friendly team and have regular meetings to discuss project development, funding   and delivery. If you are interested in volunteering with Life-Force we can send an application form on request.
